a spiritual journey of a woman and her God.
This blog is the record of my journey through the physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional. It encompasses the whole person as "I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus" Phil 3:12, NASB

Romans 16:20
I found a treasure in 2 Chronicles 29 this morning! A couple treasures, really.
1. V. 5 - “Consecrate yourselves now, and consecrate the house of the LORD, the God of your fathers, and carry the uncleanness out from the holy place.”
The Word of God is a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, isn’t it? It seems like it on this beautiful Thursday morning. Beautiful day!! I have a beautiful view of green rolling hills and blue skies accompanied by a cool and gentle breeze (finally some coolness!). And to make the morning perfect, God is alive and well and speaking sweet delight. Life giving, He is! As I read verse 5 this morning, I thought “what a treasure of knowledge.” We are commanded to be holy as He is holy. How are we to be holy? Just as Hezekiah directs the Levites: carry out the uncleanness. So let’s do it! Let’s carry out the uncleanness of our thoughts, our speech, our actions, etc, etc. Let’s consecrate ourselves to the Lord and seek to be holy as He is holy!
2. V. 11- My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to minister to Him, and to be His ministers and burn incense.
Second treasure. Wow! That was my reaction after hearing God speak verse 11 into my heart. Do not be negligent, He says. In other words, pay attention!!! We are chosen to stand in His presence. Hello, glory!! God invites us to minister to Him and in turn minister to others. This gave me pause. Minister to Him? Really? What does that mean? How can I minister to God? So I looked up the word “minister” in the Hebrew. It means “to attend to, to serve” someone superior. Oh but it means so much more!! In this particular context, it means to serve God entirely, to be in full attendance to Him. How great! This is my desire - to be in full attendance to God.
